Energizing people
Our business is about solving a very common problem – we don’t get enough daylight. Humans have evolved over thousands of years, spending most of our time outdoors up until the most recent generations. Today, we spend up to 90% of our time indoors, but standard indoor lighting does not meet our biological light exposure needs. Biocentric lighting brings daylight indoors to improve human health and well-being.
Who we are
Headquartered in Lund, Sweden, BrainLit has a subsidiary in the United States. The company was founded in 2012 by Tord Wingren, one of the inventors of Bluetooth technology.
What we do
We specialize in light to deliver significant health and well-being improvements with measurable outcomes. This includes our daylight technology, Biocentric lighting, which we deliver through different solutions. We own the intellectual property rights for the personalization of light environments based on user feedback.
